MaitlandQS brings long experience and deep knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to all its commercial management projects. Our role as commercial managers is to apply our knowledge and expertise to the financial and contractual aspects of the project, while our clients concentrate on the engineering. By doing so, we are able to protect our clients from the dangers of inadequate cashflow and unaccounted variations that can arise when they are focused on completing the project, and cannot spare time and resources for the administrative aspects.

By working closely with the client, MaitlandQS acquires a deep understanding of the contractual issues governing each project from the outset. Accordingly, we can build in the measures that will prevent losses or reduced profits, identifying risks rapidly as the project proceeds through pre-contract, implementation and post-contract stages.

It is in the variations to the contract that the greatest risks of loss lie. The MaitlandQS approach to commercial management ensures that any variation is identified, quantified and notified rapidly. The high level of control that we bring to each project helps to achieve prompt and complete payment and to minimise the potential for dispute.
