MaitlandQS is a Quantity Surveying Consultancy established in 1987 by Frank Maitland who identified an opportunity to provide specialist Mechanical and Electrical Contractors with professional Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying Services.
Originating in Farnborough, Hampshire, regional offices have since been opened in Northampton, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham and London to serve the practice's expanding client base.
Consequently MaitlandQS has become one of the largest practices in the UK specialising in Mechanical and Electrical Services, and currently works for twelve of the top fifteen M&E Contractors in the UK, as well as Rail and Process Engineering Contractors.
Dominic Hill ICIOB MQSi
Northern Regional Director
Dominic worked in the construction industry from 1988 after studying Building Services Quantity Surveying at Nottingham Trent University. He gained extensive experience in the building services sector working for major mechanical and electrical contractors, management contractors and private practices both in the UK and overseas. Joining MaitlandQS in 1999 Dominic was appointed as a Regional Director in 2000. He was instrumental in establishing and developing our offices in Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield and subsequently was part of the senior management team who successfully completed an MBO of the business in December 2008. Regrettably, in March 2010, after a short period of illness, Dominic died leaving behind his wife Kate and sons Joe and George. Dominic was highly respected and well-liked both within the company and the wider industry and will be greatly missed by his colleagues, peers and clients.
